From Mathematics wiki

Welcome to thetangentbundle network of wikis: a collaborative, ever-growing repository of scientific knowledge. For a description of what this project is about, please see this document.

Browsing

This website is an example of a wiki, roughly an ever evolving, interconnected set of articles that allows for easy, collaborative editing. Articles are grouped by subject and then by topic, and you can navigate these topics by following links on the main page, or by searching for relevant keywords in the search box to the left.

There are multiple of wikis hosted on this domain. The administrative one, TheTangentBundle wiki is a centralized source for information that is common to all the other projects. There are currently two other projects that cover the following subjects:

• Physics
• Mathematics

These projects are all interlinked, and while the layout may seem confusing to new users, these links are fairly seamless, and the logical separation of the projects reduces clutter and allows for greater flexibility.

Editing and Contributing

The ability to edit pages is limited to users that have created an account and are logged in. This is needed to prevent vandalism, and is mean to be as unobtrusive as possible. Once you have created an account (see below), and decide that you wish to create or edit articles, please see request editorship or send an email to lionelbrits@phas.ubc.ca to indicate that you wish to do so. The process is fairly quick, and prevents mass automated registration and spam.

Creating an account

There are multiple, interconnected wikis hosted on this domain. To create an account, which can be used all over this site, please visit www.thetangentbundle.net. A one-time confirmation email will be sent in order to confirm the registration. Your personal information (email address) is not published anywhere or shared with anyone, and is only needed for the purpose of creating and managing your account (e.g., retrieving a forgotten password).
